The paintings in this collection were inspired by my longing for the warmth and color that the arrival of Springtime brings - warmer temps, longer days, and a more colorful view.
At the same time I was studying the work of the Impressionists - think Monet, Cézanne, and Van Gogh - and challenged myself to work with the freedom that is so apparent in their work.
