I am so thrilled to share with you the six paintings that make up the Summer Sunsets collection!
This collection was born out of a time of transition. As the summer ended and the busyness of the fall began, I felt a shift in the momentum of life. The sun was setting on a gorgeous summer, and this collection commemorates the shift in seasons. My intent with each piece was to focus on the soft transitions of color and light in the sky, and to carefully consider how the sun shines on the land and changes it in an instant. Sunsets happen in an instant, but a million changes happen in the landscape. These paintings capture the fleeting moments of the falling sun that casts its colors on the land and dance in the sky.
